Tescor is looking for someone to join our Electrical Team. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for reading prints, wiring control panels, and running conduit for walk-in freezers, environmental rooms, automotive test benches, calorimeters, and other custom equipment.
This person will be skilled in control wiring and panel building needs to be comfortable working with AC from 24 to 480 volts single and three-phase, as well as DC including signal loops. They need to be proficient in using electrical meters and electrical troubleshooting.
Main Responsibilities:
Works with production and engineering teams to ensure system specifications are met
Reads and comprehends process flow and engineering schematics
Build Panels and install control wiring
Soldering wiring, assembling, and pulling wiring harnesses
Conduits and raceway - layout, cutting and installing
Rigid conduit - layout, cutting, threading, and connecting to functional components
EMT - layout, bending and installing flexible conduit to process equipment
Mounting components, assemble structural and functional systems
Verifying electrical functionality of assembled machinery
Follows safety policies. Practices 5S and Lean methodologies
Some travel may be required
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Skilled in control wiring and panel building, AC from 24 to 480 volts single and three-phase, DC including signal loops, proficiency in using electrical meters, and electrical troubleshooting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Mechanical inclination and general building ability
Mechanical
The ability to work independently, with direction, and in groups
Willingness to grow and learn
General knowledge of Computers and Electronics
Familiarity with wiring pumps, motors, heaters, valves, and other process devices
Ability to use a computer
Physical Requirements:
The position is located in a manufacturing environment and will involve hands-on work. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or sitting for long periods of time.
Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
Ability to see with corrective lenses
Ability to differentiate colors
Ability to hear
Ability to walk
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
Hazards:
