Job description Responsibilities: Design and engineer high-level waste (HLW) electrical systems and equipment across the entire facility to prepare for procurement and construction phases.

Utilize advanced engineering tools like ETAP, and possibly SETROUTE and BlockDraw for design tasks. Develop comprehensive understanding and application of various engineering and electrical diagrams and schematics. Perform specialized tasks, studies, and calculations, including equipment sizing and cable sizing.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and design requirements. Handle multiple tasks, meet conflicting deadlines, and manage frequent interruptions effectively. Work collaboratively across disciplines and lead small teams of engineers, designers, and technologists.

Qualifications and Skills: Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of related experience.

Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, physical exams (if on-site), and background checks. Must be eligible to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site access. Minimum Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office. In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and ANSI/IEEE standards. Experienced with ETAP and other electrical design tools like CAD 2D and cable designing/routing software.

Excellent communication skills. EIT Certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment. Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of related experience. PE Registration. Leadership or supervisory experience.

Experience with projects for DOD or DOE. Job Posting Period: 08/07/2024 to 07/07/2025 Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule:
