Position Summary

The Electrical Superintendent will be part of the Jacobs Field Services Construction Team. In this support role, the Electrical Superintendent will interact with Jacobs construction sites, clients, and engineering offices to ensure successful management of all rigging functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements as approved by the company.


  • Monitors the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing craftwork, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements.

  • Ensures that all subordinates are trained on and aware of specifications and work procedures and are utilized to ensure optimal efficiency.

  • Maintains effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel.

  • Plans required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed.

  • Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical craft as laborer required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as General Forman or Supervisory role required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction and/or maintenance required.

  • Demonstrated safety leadership experience required.

  • Training experience preferred.

Job Description: This position involves the following: * Maintain shift schedules, time cards and payroll for lab * Maintaining laboratory instruments including HPLCs, GCs, ICP and NMR * Monitor lab inventory and maintain supplies for the lab * Create and maintain all lab reports and distribute as needed * Monitor lab results for errors and inconsistencies * Oversee training new technicians and keep up with refresher training as needed (per proficiency testing) and personnel development * Share in the responsibility of writing and maintaining standard operating procedures for laboratory testing * Conducts lab technician performance reviews * Understanding of Food Safety Programs * Implement and drive efficiencies for lab improvement * Review lab department cost saving measure * Active participate in Performance Excellence and help engage other employees Job Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent is required * Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, able to learn Pi, PolicyTech, TLC, Apecs * Candidate must have strong written and oral skills * Knowledge of GMP and Food Safety programs is essential * Must be professional and able to maintain confidentiality and work well with people * Attendance and punctuality are a must * Must be willing to work shifts and be flexible to overtime as needed * Must be able to climb stairs, lift, sit or stand for long periods; good physical dexterity; i.e., bend, kneel * Employee must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and dusty environments * On call as needed during night and weekends to answer questions of lab technicians, be willing to come in.
