Job Description:

The Electrical Products Team (EPT) is responsible for the guidance, navigation, signal processing, target detection and tracking system functions of the electrical subsystems used in our products. Job responsibilities of this role vary, but include activities such as; troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Education/Skills:

  • Master of Arts or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, Optics, Physics or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree.

  • Must be either currently pursuing a required degree or required degree must have been granted within the last 18 months.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit design and analysis.

  • Direct experience with electrical subsystems or circuit card assembly, electrical test, and / or standard laboratory test equipment.

  • Experience troubleshooting electronics, critical thinking and/or Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles

The IPT Lead engineer is responsible for driving the execution of the electrical subsystem through the life cycle of the product. Tasks include supporting development or production, leading proposal activities, and technical management of both engineering disciplines and suppliers for programs throughout the product life cycle. Successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven project organization and execution skills, multi-tasking and verbal/written communication and presentation skills, and experience in a budget and schedule critical environment. Candidates should lead multi-discipline teams to develop systems from concept through integration and production, and develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity. A candidate willing to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues. Qualified candidates must have experience with digital, analog and/or RF testing and experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Knowledge of RF / microwave devices preferred. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Location: Tucson, AZ. Some travel to suppliers may be required.
