The products to keep you challenged range from fractional HP to80 HP, with currents up to 500 amps and voltages to 800 volts. Leveraging yourexperience you'll act as the lead or a team lead in the design of theelectronic drives for missiles, autonomous underwater vehicles and numerousground vehicles. This opportunity will allow the engineer to be a leader and to besolely in charge of the design, development and test of control actuationsystem electronics drives. In the defense sector of Space and Defense, designs move rapidlyfrom inception to fielding. Typical programs may last less than a year, thusopportunity exists to continuously work on new projects with different designneeds, to learn new areas in electrical packaging design and to collaboratewith some of Moog's best engineers. You musteffectively help in coordinating the work of drafters and others who assist inspecific assignments. In theearly stages of a new program, the project team will consult with the customer, establish the problem statement, conceive of potential hardware solutions tothe problem, often through extensive trade studies, and then create asuccessful technical proposal. This phase is critical in that it establishesthe basis for future design, and for contract negotiations. Under the technicaldirection of the Engineering Manager, Section Head or the team's lead engineer, you'll then guide the evolution of the conceptual design, technical projectplanning, detail design, and development testing.
