WHO YOU ARE

The Electrical Specialist performs all industrial electrical repairs and installations following all code and safety requirements.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

In Grantsville, MD

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair work on industrial support systems and production equipment.

  • Demonstrates electrical experience and knowledge in a manufacturing environment with AC/DC Circuitry, Motor Control Circuitry, Safety Circuitry, and PLCs.

  • Demonstrate computer skills, safe usage of electrical meters and tools.

  • Layout and install electrical wiring per N.E.C. and local codes.

  • Perform light mechanical repairs to pneumatic and hydraulic production equipment.

  • Must maintain a high rate of productivity with work presented in a neat and professional manners.

  • Responsible for following all specified Safety and Quality standards for all tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • Associates/Trade School certification or 3 to 5 years previous industrial electrical experience preferred.

  • Experience with up to 480-volts 3 phase electrical systems.

  • Previous manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain regular attendance.

  • Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Hours: 3:30 p.m.- 12:00 a.m. - Monday thru Friday. OT during weekdays and Saturdays as needed.

Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and have ability to make logical decisions as it relates to the maintenance of the equipment. WHERE YOU WILL WORK In Grantsville, MD WHAT YOU WILL DO Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. * Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. * Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. * Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. * Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. * Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. * Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. * Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. * Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. * Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and documents problems on work order supplied * Operates forklift, scissor lift and bucket lift Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED * Minimum 3 -5 years of industrial mechanic experience * Lockout Certification Hours: 3:30 p.m. - midnight.
