SCOPE OF WORK: The subcontractor shall become an integral part of CEMAT providing tech assist to ship's force as directed in support of the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) to be conducted at Huntington Ingalls Industries onboard USS JOHN C STENNIS (CVN 74). The subcontractor shall provide electrical and mechanical support as required to support ships force for the assessment, fault isolation, repair and final adjustment of specific items of Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (CEMAT) systems and equipment and conduct functional checks and operational tests of those systems onboard ship.

One of the employees will act as supervisor. The support shall include: repair support by JSNs, On the Job Training (OJT), logistics support/review/validations, material condition assessments and quality assurance.

? The subcontractor shall have and be able to possess the following:

1.Provide basic hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wrenches, saws and hammers.

2.Skills and knowledge in overhauling, grooming and repairing

3.Comprehension of the use of test equipment.

4.Computer skills including the ability to log on and navigate through a series of menus/icons on a major system controlled by a central computer and the basic use of Commercial, Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, electronic mail and internet

5.Able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight will be determined by the specific job but no less than 30 pounds.

6.Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.

7.Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May require wearing a respirator.

8.As the ship is undergoing a mid-life refueling and complex overhaul, may be exposed to fumes and irritants including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases and various cleaning solutions and solvents, noise, high heat and humidity hazards while wearing the required Personal Protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

Qualifications:

A. OSHA 7615 (Shipyard Employment) 10-hour training course

B. Respirator physical and fit test

C. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training

D. Nuclear Awareness; Non-nuclear work on nuclear vessels (NAVSEA Standard Item 009-110)

E. Aerial Platform Operator (JLG/Scissor lifts)

F. Fall Protection

G. Fire Watch

Salary Description

$35/hour
