Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of high school diploma or General Education Development test certificate.

Successful completion of an approved and recognized apprenticeship program or trade school equivalent pursuant to attaining Journeyman status as an Electrician and/or a four year telecommunications technician apprenticeship program pursuant to attaining Journeyman status in installation and maintenance, PLUS five years of hands-on experience using, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing two way radio systems the size and type of those currently utilized by Cook County.

The current possession of, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment a FCC General Radio Operator's License (GROL) or NABET Certification is required.

Must possess a valid FCC Amateur Radio License.

Must possess a current valid unrestricted driver license.

Must possess the ability to read write and speak English.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Electrical Commissioning Agent Lead Job Responsibilities As an Electrical Lead, you will travel to sites throughout the US to work directly with client personnel at state-of-the-art mission-critical facilities from initial engagement with the client to final turnover of the site. This position will involve reviewing design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning. In this role, you will drive the development and execution of functional and integrated system testing of electrical systems in coordination with sub-contractors, vendors, the Commissioning Project Manager (PM), and the Mechanical Lead to meet the project schedule. Additional responsibilities: * Lead all aspects of safety for all electrical tests * Effectively communicate with clients and the project team (EOR, CMs, MEP trades, etc.) * Assist with system and equipment troubleshooting * Daily interaction with management team and oversight of engineers on project team * Assist the PM in developing and coordinating Commissioning Plans * Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning * Develop, coordinate, and lead functional performance and integrated system testing of electrical equipment * Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others * Assist the Commissioning Project Manager in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets * Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports Electrical Commissioning Agent Lead Job Requirements To succeed in this role, your experience must include commissioning of large-scale data center electrical systems. Your technical strengths must be complemented by self-motivation, relationship building skills, effective communication skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to effectively work in a fast–paced environment. You must be comfortable working as a team leader , as a member of a team, and individually, depending on the project. Electrical Lead requirements: * This is NOT an entry level position; Data Center Commissioning experience is required * Bachelor's Degree, ideally electrical, and/or significant electrical construction, vendor, operations, design and/or commissioning experience * NETA, NFPA 70 certification are pluses * Commissioning certification is a plus ( BCxP , BCxA, CxA, CCP, LEED, etc.) * Knowledge of OSHA (or equivalent) safety requirements * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical P&IDs * Knowledge of mission-critical design concepts * Knowledge of Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Batteries, Emergency Diesel Generators & Load Banks. * Knowledge of power quality analysis * Strong experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; can effectively create final products in all three programs * Articulate speaker and an active listener with strong writing and presentation skills Electrical Commissioning Agent Lead Benefits As a Commissioning Agent with Syska Hennessy Group, you will be part of a global firm with an amazing history!
