The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installation, monitoring, and repairing electrical systems of the facility.
Responsibilities
Plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment
Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment
Follow diagrams or blueprints ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools such as a bandsaw, pipe threader, rules, and conduit benders
Pull wiring through conduit, assisted by a helper, focusing on care not to damage wiring
Terminate wiring using standard or approved methods
Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools
Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit- breakers and fasten in place using approved bolting methods
Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding as required
Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, megger, or oscilloscope
Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems
Load, transport and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
Maintain tools and equipment
Rate information using personal judgment or standards that can be measured or checked
Wear personal protective equipment and use safety equipment as required
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a "safety-sensitive" position.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Three years (3) combined training and experience in electrical work
Must be able to distinguish colors
Ability to make and understand mathematical calculations
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical field
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
Demonstrate ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) coupled with strong interpersonal skills
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)Greater than three years of experience in electrical installation and repair in an industrial work environment
State issued Electrical Journeyman's License preferred
Completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty is beneficial
Experience operating aerial lifts such as scissor lifts and boom lifts is preferred
OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification is preferred
CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred
NFPA 70E Certification (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace) is beneficial
