Strong base salary with bonus Room for growth Make an impact Great benefits 401k Job Details The Electrical Estimator prepares estimates to support project managers in bidding. This position is responsible for ensuring estimates are done on time and supports the achievement of established sales and financial objectives. Electrical design build is creating and designing electrical systems to create wiring and power distribution designs that fit an individual project’s needs.

Examine the electrical project needs and find the best way to supply it. This can be from the power distribution, wiring plans, device layout, and down to user end supply. Datacom layout and design can be included in this also.

This can all be completed to produce a budget proposal or to help “Value Engineer” a project into a certain budgetary restraint. Responsibilities: Maintains an environment which adheres to safety, inclusiveness, career progression, teamwork, and customer focus. Analyzes blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Consults with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, contractors, and value-added personnel. Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Prepares estimates used by the director of estimating and project management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Prepares estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. Selects and communicates to stakeholders the margin strategy for the project.

Reviews material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Prepares and maintains a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Sets up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures that will be used for project review.

Conducts a handoff meeting to go over the items on the RSR Project Hand Off Form and make sure the project manager, foreman and safety manager are clear as to the expectations of the project. Advises project manager for the duration of the project. Accountable to be the subject matter expert for using Vista and Accubid.

Attends and contributes to the project debrief discussions. Executes on assigned actions from the project debrief discussions. Prepares electrical quotes for industrial and commercial applications.
