LHB is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager that is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. This position is part of our Integrative Design Team that designs high performance buildings and sites for Government, Education, Commercial, and Healthcare clients. This position will be responsible for the critical components of running a highly sustainable and future-looking Electrical design team and will set the direction for growth in the Electrical Studio.
Electrical Engineering is at the leading edge of LHB's goal of regenerative design and being at the forefront of design for our changing world. As such, there are opportunities to develop and conduct research projects, work with our climate solutions team on energy reduction, and apply innovative designs to our building projects.
The position is preferred as hybrid based in our Duluth or Minneapolis locations. However, fully remote candidates will be considered under the right circumstances.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for leadership, performance, and growth of the Electrical Engineering Studio at LHB. The Studio Leader must be willing and able to advance IDT's Vision to be the Leader in Creating Regenerative Communities.
Client relationship management and business development
Leading and mentoring the electrical staff
Setting and upholding a positive culture
Interacting with project teams and clients
Overseeing
Project staffing
Lighting and controls, power, and low voltage systems design
Project specifications development
Photometric, short circuit, and available fault current calculations
Ensuring LHB QA/QC processes are followed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
10+ years' experience in the design and construction industry
Knowledge of Electrical codes, concepts, and design
Licensed engineer in the state of Minnesota OR capable of licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work successfully with other LHB staff, including our Internal Services Team and other Business Units.

Salary Range
This position's anticipated base salary rage is $125,000- $145,000 annually. Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
