We are seeking a highly motivated hardware developer to work in a team of other hardware and software developers to design and implement systems and modules to be deployed in Microsoft's Azure Cloud.
As a member of this team, you will work directly with engineers across the company and across the world to design HW from concept to data center deployment. You will work with internal partners to develop requirements and specifications and you will manage a team of Electrical Engineers focused on the development of key differentiating PCBA solutions for Microsoft's Cloud. Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
BS / MS Electrical Engineering
10+ years of relevant experience in electrical or system level design across all stages of the development and release cycles
Experience with Cadence EDA tools
Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
Experience developing HW component and system level specifications
Experience developing HW verification and functional test plans
Experience working across disciplines and organizations to resolve complex issues
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Fundamental knowledge of the following HW design principals: Signal Integrity, Power Design, Computer Architecture
Working knowledge of mechanical and thermal system design considerations
The Cloud Server Infrastructure (CSI) team in Microsoft's Azure C+E division is responsible for delivering server infrastructure for Microsoft's online services. The hardware for operating these services (over 200 and counting), comprises of hundreds of thousands of servers spread globally and applications that reach hundreds of millions of users every day.
