We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Senior Principal Electrical Engineer and based on-site.

Location: This position will be based in San Jose, California

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • New product development

  • Design and development of electrical and power electronic systems for marine applications.

  • Collaborate with domestic and international teams to successfully develop electrical systems.

  • Start to finish ownership of total system electrical design - starting from concept phase to release to manufacturing and field support.

  • Vendor selection, specification development, design validation and acceptance testing

  • International and Marine compliance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Electrical engineering degree

  • 1-2 years' experience on electrical systems design.

  • Application of sound electrical design fundamentals

  • Working knowledge in electrical power distribution including AC and DC systems, electrical/electronic components - such as circuit breakers, relays, connectors, switches and harnesses.

  • Experienced with low voltage harness design and packaging

  • Working knowledge of IEC and/or UL standards relevant to the design of power converters, storage and electrical systems.

  • Proficiency with EE tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers in troubleshooting high power, high voltage equipment in a laboratory environment as well as in field

  • Knowledge on quality tools like FMEA, RCA and fault tree analysis.

  • Ability to handle design responsibility for multiple projects

  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree, and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher

Salary Ranges:

$20.70 - $31.55
