Electrical Engineering Co-Op (Summer 2024 Semester - May Start)

If you are an EE, EET, or ICET Student looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Natchitoches, LA location, you will work hand in hand with Controls Engineers installing field devices and programming PLCs.

AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CO-OP, RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO YOU:

• Installing I/O field devices

• Programming PLCs

• Working with Controls Engineers on different projects

Basic Requirements:

• Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering Technology, or related field

• Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester

• Sophomore or higher class status

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Requirements:

• Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering Technology
• 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA
• Previous co-op or intern experience with Copeland or another company
• PLC Knowledge

Flexible Work Schedule

This role has the flexibility of a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am

• 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

About Our Location

Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
