Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to our power distribution projects for industrial and commercial clients on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, DE. Flexibility to sit in Philadelphia as a last resort with some hybrid options available. The projects are mostly industrial in nature, including sectors like Pharma and Chemical. This candidate must be a technically focused Electrical Engineer to assist with production while leading the design floor.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial and commercial electrical power distribution systems and equipment (up to 35kV / 35,000 volts).
• Prepare electrical single-line diagrams as well as electrical arrangement and circuit drawings using knowledge and experience of relevant equipment (such as motors, motor starters and disconnects, transformers, MCC's, VFD's, etc.).
• Ensure work complies with NEC standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional experience.
• Proficiency with engineering tools like AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microstation and Revit is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of an open floor space with areas of desks separated by dividers. There is a collaborative atmosphere with around 20 colleagues, all willing to help and teach as needed. The work hours are flexible, requiring 8 hours within the window of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., but availability during prime hours is necessary. The dress code is business casual. The MEP division encompasses 30 people, including 8-10 engineers, and the rest being designers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
