The Role:

Vivint is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be a critical member of our hardware engineering development team. As part of this team you will be responsible for the hardware architecture, detailed electrical design, and engineering validation of Vivints wide range of smart home products.

Vivint is applying years of experience in the home to create the world's best integrated Smart Home experience. We bring together technology and process expertise to deliver one-stop solutions. This Electrical Engineer role is responsible for leading investigations into new technologies and implementing them into Vivint products. You will prototype potential solutions to complex hardware engineering problems. You will help create the engineering design specifications, develop the detailed design, and perform validation testing to successfully launch new products in mass production. You will work closely with your development and manufacturing partners to deliver the next generation of Vivint products.

Who you will work with:

You will work with a wide variety of groups both within and outside of Vivint that include Industrial Design, Mechanical/Test/Quality Engineering, Software Development, Supply Chain, Product Management, and ODM/JDM partners.

What were looking for:

  • Bachelors of Science EE degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience including RF design, FCC & other regulatory certifications, PCB schematic & layout
  • Positive track record developing successful products that launch on time and within budget
  • Consumer electronics experience strongly preferred
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability for periodic domestic and international travel
  • Open minded and positive attitude with a passion for continual learning

They assist with the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment. This includes process setup and technician and operator training. This position will use data to make intelligent improvements to overall fabrication process and will be responsible for understanding all aspects of the process performed. This includes the interaction of the process to other fab processing, enabling accurate product dispositions of non-conforming product. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others and conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules.</p><p>In this semiconductor fab engineer role with TI's worldwide manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for engineering process optimization efforts to achieve fab cycle time goals. You will interface with various modules, in addition to yield, product and integration teams, to resolve issues that limit yield performance.
