Electrical Engineer- Security Clearance RequiredVetegrity manages and directs the facility engineering design, construction & renovation, maintenance programs, and raised floor infrastructure for mission-critical DoD data centers.Position Overview:
  • Provides electrical engineering assistance for technical reviews and authorized service interruption (ASI) tracking
  • Provides coordination for all projects and maintenance activities, electrical distribution load analysis, and commissioning coordination, oversight, and duties
  • Assists the Government project managers in transitioning and closing out of all projects from the project team to the maintenance team and provides maintenance recommendations for those multiple types of electrical systems
  • Provides recommendations and reviews comments to the Government representative regarding improvements to energy efficiency to drive down the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of the data centers in the maintenance and operations of existing systems
  • Drafts SOW/PWS, cost estimates and acquisition package requirements for recommendations approved by the Government and review whole scale upgrades with a positive Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Must be able to work in a small team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • 5 years of experience in providing electrical engineering to support power, cooling and lighting installation or maintenance for critical facilities
  • Experience with commissioning or operation and maintenance programs
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Must be proficient with office automation software (MS Office, AutoCAD)
  • Professional Engineering License preferred
  • Secret Security Clearance

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-03-06T00:00 <p>Overview</p><p>We are seeking a full time Electrical Engineer for our Greenwood Village, CO office, supporting our Life Science (LS) business unit. This office specializes in the design of facilities and related power systems for Government and private clients. Work assignments include electrical design for power generation, facilities, renovations, research labs, multi-purpose buildings and electrical systems. An agreed upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, is available to employees in good standings.</p><p>Job Description</p><p>Work involves facility design, site power design, and power analysis/studies. This position requires excellent communication skills for critical facility electrical design. Project work involves a variety of activities including conceptual and detailed design of low voltage (1000V and lower) power distribution, medium voltage (up to 15kV) power distribution, power generation systems (backup power and prime power), grounding and lightning protection systems, lighting systems, and motor control systems. Additionally, experience with facility voice/data communication cabling systems, fire alarm, security access control and security systems are desired. Experience with medium voltage (1000V up to 15kV) is desired. Work also includes developing specifications, field investigations and construction support. Perform engineering and design assignments with minimal direction. Exercise independent design and engineering judgment with collaboration from senior engineers. Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is highly desired. Must be able to work in a team of supporting electrical engineers and designers to execute design projects. This person should have knowledge on electrical regulatory codes and be highly skilled in facility electrical systems design. Candidates are required to meet company expectations for attendance and punctuality.</p><p>Required Experience</p><ul><li><p>Four (4) to eight (8) years of experience in Electrical Engineering design, preferably with entities such as DHS, USDA, CDC, NIH, etc.</p></li><li><p>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering is highly desired, or the ability to obtain PE licensure within 2 years of hire.</p></li><li><p>Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program is required.</p></li><li><p>Experience using electrical calculation tools is highly desired, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, EasyPower, ETAP or SKM Power Tools.</p></li><li><p>Good proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit based drawing generation experience is highly desired.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of NFPA, IBC, ICC, NEC, and IEEE Regulatory Codes is required</p></li><li><p>Facilities electrical design experience is required</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word are required</p></li><li><p>Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.</p></li><li><p>Local candidates are preferred.</p></li></ul><p>Physical Requirements</p><ul><li><p>The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.</p></li><li><p>Ability to perform site and field visits to review existing electrical systems and observe construction</p></li><li><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p></li><li><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p></li></ul><p>Additional information</p><ul><li><p>Apply online only.
