About the Position

This position will be responsible for providing application engineering for commercial trucking fleet customers using Goodyear's latest connected maintenance technologies specifically, Drive Over Readers. This position will be based out of our Akron, OH office & travel to different customer locations to understand how to deploy end to end technologies in the customers' location.

Responsibilities

  • Support fleet customers in successfully adopting new connected maintenance technologies

  • Conduct site assessments to understand site layouts, conditions, desired usage of technologies & recommend potential layouts of the new technology at the customer site

  • Assist in coordinating installations & commissioning of the technology in partnership with Goodyear's global centers of excellence of the technology & local business unit team members

  • Conduct training of Goodyear & customer employees on proper use & periodic maintenance of the technologies rolled out to customer yards

  • Help in troubleshooting of deployed units in the field

Education and Requirements

  • Electrical electronic technician or fitter and engineering degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5years' experience. Innovation projects or equivalent entrepreneurship experiences preferred.

  • Experience in managing end customers

  • Experience with electrical & electronic circuitry & measurement technologies (lasers, cameras, sensors)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to contribute in a cross functional & global team environment

  • Ability to travel 30% on average

  • Analytical skills

  • Communication skills - ability to clearly communicate progress of projects to stakeholders

  • Knowledge of construction & project management is preferred
