What You Will Do

Our Electrical Engineer Tech performs a variety of complex technical tasks to support our customers. These tasks revolve around troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, modification, test, diagnosis and inspection of aerospace electronic and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, test, evaluate, disassemble, and repair aerospace avionics equipment, such as displays and data concentrators assemblies under FAA Part 145 regulations.

  • Interpret and verify customer complaints.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electronic schematics.

  • Perform component level repairs with limited technical documentation.

  • Document findings and develop repair plans under supervision of FAA Part 65 Repairmen.

  • Document work performed to return repair articles to service.

  • Generate test reports.

  • Work under limited supervision.

  • Maintain the high ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

  • Understand and live by Korry's ethics and business conduct policies.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post-high school training (two years duration), or equivalent military training, in Electronics or equivalent experience.

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years' combined training/experience in electronics.

  • Experience with digital and analog electronics and general hands-on mechanical experience.

  • Understanding of digital and analog circuit theory.

  • Basic machine shop knowledge and hand tool usage.

  • Circuit breadboarding: hand wiring, low complexity PCB design.

  • Use of Schematic capture software.

  • Environmental testing: Set up, programming, unique interface construction.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to lesser skilled co-workers.

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working under FAA Part 145 regulations.

  • Python coding experience.

  • Basic microcontroller software and hardware experience (Arduino, etc.)

  • Basic automated test equipment programming (GPIB, SCPI).

  • Knowledge of LabView is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Sit, stand and walk for 1 - 10 hours per day

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional indoor, climate controlled manufacturing environment

Salary Range

Please note the typical hiring range is $30.00 - $40.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
