Overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting new systems, design, integration, commissioning, and follow up of industrial equipment and automation projects for COPPERWORKS. This position is dedicated to driving the adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater safety, efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. To accomplish these goals, collaboration with Plant personnel, COPPERWORKS Engineering Team, suppliers, and integrators on project activities will be critical.
Responsibilities
Drive a World Class Safety Culture.
Provide engineering support for construction projects, operations, and maintenance.
Lead area electrical engineering and provide support for achieving plant's safety, customer, quality, sustainability, and profit objectives.
Collaborate with operations team members, troubleshoot equipment and process problems, provide engineered solutions to the problems.
Develop repair and rebuild maintenance procedures.
Support for restoration of flow during breakdowns and develop repair and rebuild maintenance procedures.
Manage equipment rebuilds working with in-house and contracted maintenance resources.
Develop capital improvement projects, associated timelines, and oversee project executions.
Become the equipment expert for the department, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and upskilling of staff that support the department.
Qualifications
Required:
Have a safety top of mind attitude
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Demonstrated ability to develop requirements, specifications, P&ID diagrams, and all else required to specify, plan, and execute process and equipment improvement projects
Experience managing and installation of capital projects
Experience in PLC systems configuration and programming (i.e., Siemens, Modicon, and Rockwell Automation), development in user interface applications (i.e., WinCC Flexible, RSView and InTouch), and tuning and troubleshooting AC/DC motor drives
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
Advanced problem solving and creative thinking skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Highly Organized, detailed oriented and self disciplined
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing setting
Experience in construction or equipment installation in a manufacturing setting
