Duties: Under the supervision of the Manager, Plant Maintenance (PM) Master Data Unit, the incumbent will assist with the activities of the Master Data section and work cooperatively with the other sections of the Maintenance Management Branch and other groups and Divisions such as the Asset Management Office, Electrical Engineering Services, Mechanical Engineering Services, Utility Power Systems Services, Civil Engineering Services, Dam Safety Office, Field Division Engineering and Planning/Scheduling offices, Division of Engineering and the Operations Engineering and Standards branch to implement O&M's Maintenance Management Strategy (MMS) by ensuring that the master data used to represent the SWP assets are as complete and accurate as possible. The incumbent must also work cooperatively with the Division of Technology services in supporting the Plant Maintenance module of the Department's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform (SAP).

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

This position requires that the incumbent work cooperatively with others, maintain consistent, regular predictable attendance, and exercise good judgment. The incumbent must have or develop a good working knowledge of the different types of equipment used throughout the SWP and the physical locations in which the equipment is located as well as the best practice business processes of maintenance management and how they are executed within the Division of Operations and Maintenance (O&M). The incumbent must become proficient in the uses of the Plant Maintenance (PM) module within the Department's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system, SAP, and how it is or can be used, to track work performed on SWP Assets and track asset history.

Must possess a good basic knowledge of the types of electrical equipment used in the utility industry. Must possess excellent computer skills and have a background which includes some computer engineering and database support experience. Must have good oral and written communications skills, the ability to communicate with other O&M staff who possess different skill sets, and the ability to travel to other SWP facilities.

The incumbent must become knowledgeable about existing reporting within the SAP system and with the methods for developing SAP reports. Incumbent should have knowledge of the health, safety, and accident prevention program as well as regulatory and compliance requirements associated with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)/North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Western Electricity Coordinating Council (EWECC) and California Independent System Operator (CAISO).
