Work in a fast-paced environment, participating and leading engineering teams designing the next generation robotic systems for the U.S. Military. Candidates will be responsible for design and support various analog / digital / mixed-signal circuits as well as cable design for robot platforms and/or their associated control stations under general supervision. The staff electrical engineer will be responsible for problem solving under general supervision. Experience with PCB and cable designs are a requirement with high speed, power electronics, motor controller, and RF design experience is a plus.Tasks may include support of existing systems, PCB design, cable design, or associated documentation tasks. Activities may range from supporting the development of a new system to integration of a new or existing payload on an existing system. Staff electrical engineers frequently develop test plans and perform testing of electrical and system designs as well as participate in field data collection and experimentation, analysis, and reporting. Works directly with engineers in other disciplines. Some (Required Qualifications* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering plus 5-7 years' experience * Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering * Analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit design * Experience with bus protocols such as CAN, SPI, RS232, I2C, USB, & Ethernet* PCB design experience * Cable assembly and wire harness design experience * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Flexible, self-started, desire to solve any problem* U.S. citizenshipDesired Qualifications * Prior work in the field of robotics * Knowledge and experience with DOD, SAE, IEEE, and/or IPC standards * Experience with safety critical and/or fault tolerance design * Experience with hazard, failure, risk analyses (i.e. FMEA, FTA, etc.)* Power electronics design experience * Motor controller design experience* RF design experience * High speed digital design experience* HDL development * Working knowledge of C / C++, & Visual C#* Experience with field testing robotic systems

About Our Team: As the the Systems Engineer, you will be the technical resource supporting Vistaprint's global IT infrastructure. You will play a crucial role within the Systems Engineering team to ensure the highest quality of IT services are being delivered to Vistaprint's internal partners. You will provide infrastructure as a service across the globe at Vistaprint's manufacturing plants, corporate offices, data centers, and cloud environments. We use Microsoft Windows and multiple flavors of Linux for servers, EMC for traditional unified storage and software-defined storage, and Cisco for networking. You will participate in identifying and implementing new technologies, prioritize daily infrastructure issues/requests, and implement best practices resulting in consistent solution delivery. This position reports to the Manager of Infrastructure Services. As a member of Vistaprint's Infrastructure team, you will be an escalation point for our Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams to ensure our systems are up 24x7xForever. What You Will Do: * Perform maintenance, installation, and upgrade related tasks on compute, storage, and network infrastructure. * Contribute to the design, implementation, delivery and maintenance of solutions provided by teams across the organization. * Conduct performance and capacity management. * Develop repeatable tools and processes to empower Operations teams to manage the IaaS. * Position may require minimal, 10%, travel per year globally You Have: * BS/BA in a computer field or equivalent work experience. * Bare metal hardware troubleshooting and support knowledge. * Linux Operating System management skills (Ubuntu, Centos). * Experience troubleshooting problems within a large distributed system, crossing many technology domains (datacenter, server hardware, hypervisor, OS, application, network, storage, etc.). * Some degree of familiarity with a modern administrative scripting or programming language - relevant experience using said language to automate repeatable processes and execute changes (Powershell, Python, etc.). * VMWare experience at VCA or above preferred. * Microsoft SE experience at MCSE level or above preferred.
