Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector located in Linthicum, MD is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer interested in joining the Test Design Engineering Department.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication coordination, integration and delivery of support test equipment. This test equipment provides power control, digital I/O and RF test capabilities for the production hardware. The responsibilities include the full cradle to grave engineering cycle, from concept design, through integration and acceptance test. The candidate will be a member of multi-disciplinary teams within and external to the test engineering department supporting a wide variety of programs.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline and with 5 years experience with a Bachelors Degree; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD.

  • Minimum of 5 year experience in hardware design.

  • Experience with integrated (analog, power, digital) hardware Design.

  • Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.

  • Experience with lab test equipment such as DMM and O-Scopes

  • Technical Leadership experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Ability to work independently with minimal Management Oversight

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline and with 9 years experience with a Bachelors Degree; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD.

  • Minimum of 5 year experience in hardware design.

  • Experience with integrated (analog, power, digital) hardware Design.

  • Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.

  • Experience with lab test equipment such as DMM and O-Scopes

  • Technical Leadership experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Ability to work independently with minimal Management Oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline

  • Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., Zuken, AutoCAD, PSpice)

  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
