Career Opportunity:

We have an opening for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work in partnership with leadership and employees at our Stevenson Mill in Stevenson, Alabama. This is a developmental position that will gain exposure to mechanical, electrical and reliability functions. This position reports to and is mentored by the Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Stevenson is centrally located between Chattanooga, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama. This is a unionized facility with approximately 400 employees.

Experience ownership firsthand as a member of the maintenance team as you drive efficiencies and cost improvement through team-oriented problem identification and resolution at a world class corrugated medium paper production facility.

How you will impact WestRock:

• Coordinates with and continuously provides information to the area maintenance teams.

• Implements the Work Management System.

• Utilizes the JDE CMMS as a primary tool of the Mill Maintenance Process.

• Completes planning and scheduling for assigned areas, coordinating with the operating departments.

• Writing complete scopes of work for contracted maintenance services.

• Creating contract requisitions in JDE and routes to appropriate approvers.

• Completes developmental assignments in mechanical, electrical or reliability functions.

• Fills in for Planner and Supervisor vacancies.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study

• 0 - 1 years of experience (would prefer Co-Op or internship experience)

• Possess drive and interest to progress into positions of greater responsibility

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent planning, organizational, time management and prioritization skills

• Proficient computer skills (including MS Office)

• Ownership mindset
