Summary of the Position:

The Electrical Engineer supports Engineering and Operations by programming machinery and internal systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports electrical engineering project delivery through coordinated specifications and designs for electricians in collaboration with other engineers and technical disciplines to deliver on project standards/deliverables.

• Supports electrical engineering joint efforts with general operational support through coordinated specifications and designs for electricians and close collaboration with other engineers and other technical disciplines to deliver on solutions to business needs.

• Supports Electrical Engineers and electricians with schematics and other support functions such as coordinating supplier visits, parts requisitions, etc.

• Ensures key systems for base support functions stay compliant, such as (not limited to): supplier management, parts requisitions, contractor time tracking, and overall asset management.

• Helps support remote facilities as needed (anticipated 10-20% travel)

• Provide on-call, second-level, support to 2nd (and occasionally 3rd) shift electricians as needed.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

• Five plus years of machinery programming experience.

• Hands-on wiring installations and familiarity with NEC code compliance.

• Safe troubleshooting of electrical circuits.

• Electrical Safety implementation and maintenance experience.

• Knowledge in the food/nut industry highly preferred.

• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experienced with Rockwell Logix/HMI products.

• Experienced with text-based programming structures (i.e.- python, gcl+)

• Interpret/develop and mark-up schematics in typical US/European standards.

• Comfortable with AutoCAD Electrical.

• Basic understanding of Ethernet network design and manufacturing cybersecurity practices.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Other Job Specific Requirements:

• Ensures cyber security requirements are always followed and reports any outages/concerns to manager.

• Responsible for immediately reporting any employee safety concerns encountered to manager.

• Responsible for close coordination on installs/modifications/repairs with Electrical Engineering team.
