Electrical Engineer Intern

Honeywell Defense and Space, in Redmond, WA, is looking for a qualified Engineering student to work in the new product engineering group, developing precision accelerometers for state-of-the art guidance systems. In this position you will:

Support design teams in the development of new sensor products

Work with cross-site teams of fellow interns on group projects

Utilize and develop your skills in mechanical design and analysis

Evaluate new accelerometer design concepts and process improvements through prototypes, test, and data analysis

Report and present your work to diverse audiences

Perform work per agreed plans. Complete work on schedule and within budget

Perform other tasks in support of product development

  • Pursuing a degree in

  • Due to ITAR restrictions, Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to complete an internship prior to graduation


  • Pursuing a master's degree or PhD is a plus

  • Completion of the sophomore year by the start of the internship is a plus

  • Completed, or plan to complete in 2018/2019 the following course content: Data Structure and Algorithms, Circuit Theory, Devices and Ciruits

  • GPA of 3.3/4.0 or better in college coursework

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams, including production personnel, external customers, and engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to document and report work, and to communicate well in team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to implement these skills in a team environment

  • Results-oriented individual, willing to commit and deliver according to schedule, performance, and cost goals

  • Proficiency with six-sigma design tools
