At Daikin Applied, the Electrical Engineer lIl - Power Electronics and Motors will support the design and application of power electronics including VFDs, transformers, power quality filters, and motors. This role will research, model, develop, design, and test 3-phase (low, medium, and high) voltage electrical components, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties.

A Day in the Life:

• Designs and models electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic and internal purposes.

• Designs and directs engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.

• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.

• Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation testing conform to UL safety certifications.

• Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.

• Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations.

• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

What you will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university.

• Must have 7+ years of related experience.

• Experience with VFD, Motors and Power Electronics required.

• Experience with UL 508a, UL 1995, UL 60335-2-40 a plus.
