Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field of engineering, plus one (1) year of electrical engineering work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, provided the minimum degree requirement is met.

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected. Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

  • Previous working experience in Electrical design, Civil or Mechanic engineering

  • Previous working experience with computer aided drafting systems

  • Previous work experience in project management or construction management

  • Previous work experience with GIS and mapping

  • Previous work experience with Micro-station and Auto CAD

  • Previous work experience in Information Technology

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Salary: $69,444/Annually

The successful candidate will be engaged with a design group to design substation and distribution systems from conceptual through issued for construction design package. The responsibilities of this position may entail some domestic U.S. travel to perform assessments of client systems and infrastructure. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Design and engineering of electrical power systems up to 13kV for new Water and Waste Water treatment plant Perform system analysis using modeling software such as ETAP or SKM Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD or Microstation Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with QA/QC procedures Ensure all engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, analysis and reports) are in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices Level specific responsibilities: Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
