Primary Responsibilities

Our Fort Worth office is looking for an Electrical Engineer-in-training I to provide design for process, and instrumentation & controls design for Pump Stations and medium voltage distribution. Experience with pump controls, 5kV, 15kV, or 25kV systems is a plus.

Tasks include: prepare detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, cost estimates, detailed analyses and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Qualifications

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with an emphasis on power systems; or a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering; eligible to take or have passed the EIT exam; 1 to 4 years minimum related experience working in the consulting field, either for a full-service A&E or MEP firm. Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and/or AGi32 is a plus.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Designs electrical systems/equipment to provide a useful and safe environment for the mission critical market in accordance with the clients requirements for reliability and uptime. * Advises clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with all applicable codes. * Monitors installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design documents. * Conducts fault studies and load flow analysis. Develop design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution. * Able to develop and/or lead the design of electrical master plans for facilities encompassing but not limited to the following: reliable power distribution, motor control centers, energy efficient lighting systems, communications and telecom routing, instrumentation and controls for HVAC systems, fire-alarm interface, building level uninterrupted power systems (UPS) systems, engine generators. * Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated. * Provides electrical design direction and resource management on multi-discipline projects * Developing concept studies, designs, and narratives. * Participate in the Identification, recruiting and management of resources to meet the needs of the business * All other duties as assigned. CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS: * Possess knowledge of all applicable standards and codes * AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and Strong computer skills necessary to accomplish electrical designs. * Applicant must be a licensed professional engineer. Registrations in multiple states or NCEES record is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
