Job Description

Electrical Engineer / Firmware

3-5 years required experience in electronic design and firmware.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer or related field

Digital and Analog system design targeted for an industrial environment (circuit design, layout, firmware and evaluation)

Proficient with design, layout, and simulation verification tools (Altium or equivalent) and embedded programming tools (IDE, compilers, assemblers, linkers).

Digital design experience with microcontroller based systems (ARM, Cortex M, etc.) and I/O communication protocols (Ethernet, SPI, USB, etc.)

C/C++ experience in an embedded environment required. Understanding assembly language is required. Some projects involve converting HC11 assembly language products to ARM products in C. This involves being able to understand the assembly language and rewrite it in C, in addition to designed new PCB's.

Able to follow through with designs to manufacturing setup and testing.

Must currently be legal to work in the United States

On a daily basis you will be responsible for the coordination between McCarthy employees, owners, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. This position is the initial step in developing an employee's managerial and communication skills. Key Responsibilities * The Project Engineer will assist on-site Project Managers and Superintendents in managing the construction of projects. Project Engineers will work in conjunction with other field staff to ensure quality and timeliness of project construction and completion. * General Contract and Subcontract administration * Construction Scheduling * Material & Equipment procurement and expediting * Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination * Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination * Project cost review, reporting, updating and accounting * Review of subcontractor applications for payment * Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings * Supervision and coordination of subcontractors' field installations * Review and negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors * Prepare change proposal pricing for self-performed work * Change order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenance * Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment * Maintenance of As-Built plans * Quality control - field and shop * Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention * Project Closeout Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree required * At least one year of construction related experience * General knowledge of construction principles/practices required * Experience using BIM related software a plus McCarthy has been a community builder for 150 years.
