We have the unique and significant role to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center (JSC), to be part of every human spaceflight program the International Space Station (ISS), NASA's Orion spacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, the orbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back and forth to the moon's surface, and serving as the platform for deep space exploration. From critical systems on the ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanced development for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of the foundation for Gateway.
We also partner with NASA at JSC, the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samples returned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbital debris analysis, and basic research to further humankind's understanding of the origins of our solar system.

We are currently in need of an Electrical Engineer to join our team. Do you have the following skills?
As an Electrical Engineer you will:
Perform design and analyses to establish proof of conceptual design.
Execute detailed hardware design to successfully transition a design from concept to production.
Analyze systems requirements to design a solution with minimal guidance.
Design analog controls, built-in-tests, and thermal sensing circuits.
Integrate power supplies, power electronics, and cables:
Capable assembly and electrical connector design.
Power quality, EMI, transient suppression, and filtering designs.
Interface with a multi-disciplined engineering team to formulate and develop innovative product designs.
Collaborate with multi-disciplined technical staff to develop mission critical hardware and software designs, power management, and other complex systems.
Recommend engineering solutions and strategies to management as well as justify technical analyses to subject matter experts.
Perform other duties as required.

BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and five (5) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and four (4) years of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and zero (0) years of related experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with design and analysis of electrical systems.
Experience with circuit board layouts.
Experience with cable assembly and electrical connector design.
Experience working with Reliability, Power Quality, Battery, and EMI.
Knowledge of power electronics and systems.
Experience working with electronics lab equipment, oscilloscopes, multi meters, etc.
Knowledge of electromagnetic theory and EMI Control.
Knowledge of time and frequency domain analysis.
Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary technical team consisting of systems, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
Leadership, self-motivation, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
At least five (5) years of successful Electrical Engineering experience in high-reliability military and/or space systems.
Transient suppression and filtering design.
EMC/EMI/RFI design strategy experience.
Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space hardware.
Knowledge of electronic packaging CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
Advanced circuit analysis/simulation experience.
Intermediate expertise using PSPICE.

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs (5% of time).
