This is aclient support position in the Electrical Vehicle Charging Network (EVCN) group.Experience with major utility circuiting is a plus. The EVCN Project/Owner Electrical Engineerreports to the Chief Engineer of EVCN at PG&E and is responsible forproviding engineering, quality, and technology aspects of the EVCN deployment,including but not limiting to, reviewing and approving all project drawings byEPC contractors, creating and reviewing EVCN engineering and construction standards,assisting to create standardize major equipment, etc. The candidate should have practicableengineering knowledge and experience with an equivalent of a journey or seniorlevel engineer.
The candidate should have some understanding of howthe EV charging stations will impact the electric grid in distribution andtransmission level. The candidate mayassist Chief Engineer to provide technical advices to other organizations, suchas Grid Integration & Innovation (GII), Customer Care and Energy Procurement,on all EV related activities
Bachelor'sDegree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineeringor a related technical discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US orthe equivalent from outside the US.
Demonstratedsome knowledge in all aspects of engineering and design.
Master'sDegree in Engineering and/or MBA Degree
CurrentCalifornia PE license
Somerenewable, EV charger, and other technology knowledge
Utilityexperience in electric transmission, substation, and distribution system is aplus
Knowledge inNEC codes, building codes, and ADA codes
Knowledge inpermitting implication under various Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
Some knowledgein transmission and distribution grid integration plan and strategy
Knowledge inrenewable and frontier EV technology trends
Knowledge instate and federal regulatory and policy trends
Good communication and interpersonal skill
