In this position, you will design and deliver OSI's control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction. Specific, on-the-job training will be provided. As an Electrical / Computer Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, integrate, test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
  • Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments as necessary.
  • Provide networking and system/application design.
  • Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration and testing for projects.
  • Customize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements.
  • Provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty.
  • Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.

Requirements

Minimum

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of computer programming. An introduction to C programming at minimum.
  • Knowledge of computer architectures, networking, databases and operating systems.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites.

Preferred

  • Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to proficiently speak Spanish.
  • Strong technical background in automation and computers. Familiarity with public utilities.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems, C / C++.
  • Experience with CAD and software programming.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

In this position you will support the implementation of the OSI monarch system. Work includes developing client requirements, system configuration, integration design support, business process design, testing, requirements verification, data mapping, change management guidance and OMS training. Experience with electric utility operations and SCADA systems is preferred. </p><p>As a System Integration Consulting OMS Engineer you will have the following responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Assist client OMS team with OMS centric engineering duties through the life cycle of a project, including support of business process issues and configuration. </li><li>Provide OMS expertise and guidance on emergent and non-emergent processes during the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.</li><li>Coordinate closely with the client on operational needs associated with<ul><li>OMS requirements.</li><li>OMS integration design.</li><li>Test case creation.</li><li>Ensure OMS requirements and expectations are clear.</li><li>Ensure the OMS engineered system is installed and tested per OMS engineering documents.</li><li>OMS configuration design and implementation.</li></ul></li><li>Provide root cause analysis and problem-solving logic on issues encountered in the implementation.</li><li>Ensure that OMS systems have been installed/configured/integrated per Client requirements and tested.</li><li>Develop conceptual designs for OMS configuration control equipment that comply with contract and interconnection requirements.</li><li>Maintain project and OMS documentation.</li><li>Maintain and support the OMS monarch system during the project.</li><li>Interface with client system operators, operations and maintenance personnel to ensure OMS system is designed and implemented in accordance with contractual requirements and industry best practices.</li><li>Deploy OMS system according to timelines and budget.</li><li>Be an advocate for the customer with the wider OSI team, understanding the customers need and seeking solutions with other OSI departments to meet them.</li><li>Seek to identify and continuously improve Adherent processes and delivery toolsets.</li><li>Applicant is expected to travel to customer sites and work onsite Monday through Thursday.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 50%, mainly domestic (Monday thru Thursday).</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Superior interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Candidates must be based in the US.</li></ul><p>And</p><ul><li>1+ years of experience with OSI monarch product preferred.</li><li>1+ years of experience with OMS systems.</li><li>1+ years of experience testing OMS systems.</li><li>Candidates must be based in the US. </li></ul><p>Or</p><ul><li>3+ years of progressive electric utility engineering or operations experience.</li><li>3+ years of experience with electric utility OT systems or modeling software.</li><li>Familiarity with common OMS concepts.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>OSI offers a comprehensive benefit package to our full-time regular employees.
