The Corporate Plant Engineering team is a core group of professionals who manage engineering and improvement projects throughout the organization. The team is responsible to evaluate and execute projects as identified by corporate and operations groups. As a key member of the team, the Corporate Electrical Engineer will report to the Electrical Systems & Energy Director and work closely with plant engineering and safety departments.
This role does not require relocation.
Subject matter expert on regulatory requirements for electrical systems and energy management for assigned facilities
Identify and evaluate projects related to energy efficiency, power quality, sustainability, and other cost reduction opportunities
Evaluate risk of electrical system failure and implement risk mitigation strategies
Review and establish guidelines related to plant electrical systems to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met
Data collection and reporting as it relates to electrical safety, electrical maintenance programs, energy, and cost reduction opportunities
Negotiate corporate agreements with service providers to improve reliability, reduce risk, and reduce costs
Provide project management and engineering support to ensure capital projects are effectively implemented
Maintain and report on project logs for assigned facilities
Evaluate plants when on site to ensure safe and efficient operations
Assist in troubleshooting electrical infrastructure system issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Power distribution experience preferred
Knowledgeable in NFPA and IEEE electrical standards
Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage improvement projects
Ability to manage multiple projects at once to meet timelines
Leadership qualities to facilitate teamwork and drive results with all levels of the organization
