Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Conduct engineering calculations, load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, psychrometric, controls, fixture loading, pressure loss, ducts sizing, writing specifications, etc. Effectively manage time and budget to meet project deliverables and schedules. Utilize AutoCAD & Revit to complete drawings. Calculate power and lighting loads for new and existing building systems. Review local and national codes and perform code analyses. Design and life safety (fire alarm) systems. Select and design layout of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.

Hard Skills

• Electrical Engineering Degree

• 5-8 Years of experience in electrical design for building systems

• Experience utilizing AutoCAD MEP + Revit

• Experience doing load calculation

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience managing small-medium size projects

• Effective time and budget management

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New York, New York.

Work Environment

Office 4 Days a week, remote on Fridays. Team consists of 2 Architects, 6 engineers, Principals, and Admin Staff - about 15-20 members.
