Electrical Engineer

Description:

• This person would manage other discipline engineers and perform electrical work on a variety of projects.

• Work would include electrical system analysis including load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies, as well as engineering of microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems including studies and system modeling.

• Work would include electrical design in accordance with the NEC, including providing power to medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, mechanical building systems, and lighting systems.

• Work would include campus distribution and building low-voltage systems and may also include working with European voltage systems and standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University

• 4 - 8 years of experience

• Industrial, distributed generation, federal experience; Department of Defense (military) experience is a plus

• Design work with electric vehicle charging systems, microgrids, renewable energy systems, battery storage energy systems, or photovoltaics including studies and system modeling a plus

• Designing medium- and low-voltage electrical systems

• Computer programs: ETAP, SKM or Easypower; AGI or Visual Lighting Software

• AutoCAD/Revit is a plus but not required

• Have a general understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
