We have an opening for a Communications Engineer to work out of our Los Angeles, CA office.

You will be an Electrical & Electronics Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience and passionate about working in a challenging environment supporting the deployment of communication and control systems in facilities and transit environments. Having a particular emphasis on Electronics Security Systems (ESS) including: Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Access Control Systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Working knowledge of the following types of systems is needed:

  • Fiber optic & copper cabling design

  • Low Voltage Electrical Distribution systems

  • Conduit Infrastructure

  • IP networks

  • Public Address Systems

  • Passenger Information Systems

  • Telephone Systems

  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

  • Wireless Systems

  • Fire Alarm Systems

Responsibilities:

  • You will design facilities and transit communications systems

  • Ensures effective communication and coordination on projects between all disciplines and all other project participants for planning, scheduling, and compliance to government standards and codes

  • Generates technical papers, proposals, reports, presentations and presents findings to key audiences on client management teams

  • Reviews RFI submittals, shop drawing and provides client support during construction and close out

  • Perform material estimation and material take-offs

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree

  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
