Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer within our Water Americas Systems Design Group in our Kansas City, MO design center.

Our Systems Design Group provides electrical, instrumentation & control and process mechanical solutions to all of Black & Veatch's Water/Wastewater projects throughout North America. Black & Veatch's Kansas City office currently serves clients across the Americas.
Under supervision, develop Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
Develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, electrical installation details, and technical specifications
Coordinate with regional and global design teams
Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area
Additional Project Opportunities
Studies Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 1 year related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
1+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services
Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus
