ABOUT THE COMPANYbrytemove energy is a leading provider of Electric Vehicle infrastructure engineering and construction services, primarily to commercial operators. Founded in 2012, the Company is focused on the design, engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance of level 2 and level 3 high power fast-charging stations, which typically serve a variety of clients including EVSPs, utilities, fleet owners, Auto and Charging OEMs. EVI is an experienced provider of turnkey charging installation solutions from inception to commissioning, which can include the integration of solar, energy storage, software applications, and other solutions through a network of partnerships. POSITION OVERVIEWPrimary responsibility will be generating design layouts on site plans and enlarged views of area of work (scaled) for plan check set. Plan Sets will contain Electrical, Structural, & Civil Sheets. Knowledge of electrical single and three wire drawings, commercial electrical design, critical thinking around Value Engineering is a must. Drawing(s) are created from verbal, hand sketched, and/or information collected in the field. The candidate must be familiar with NEC code(s) which will help completing single line diagram(s) designs for an electrical permit set and conduit/wire sizing per equipment and length being specified on the site design plan.In addition to standard electrical interconnection requirements and wire sizing, many EV projects require ADA compliance that is State Driven. ADA compliance requires understanding of State adopted ADA code and an understanding of what compliance means for an EV installation. This will often require working with topographic surveys and civil engineers to finalize design.Finally, this position requires critical thinking. EV charging and infrastructure is still a very new industry and standards, equipment, and code is changing as the industry evolves. Understanding the evolving equipment, diverse points of connection for service (both existing and new), AHJ requirements, Utility requirements, ADA requirements, and Building Code is required to be a successful designer.SKILLS
  • Single line diagram design knowledge.

  • AutoCAD drafting knowledge.
  • Able to develop a working construction drawing set.

QUALIFICATIONSMust have 3-5 years of direct experience.
  • Experience working in Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Design and PV Solar preferred.
  • Electrical drawing knowledge.
  • Civil/Structural experience is a plus.
  • Must have very strong demonstrated skill to perform necessary commercial electrical calculations.
  • Must have very strong demonstrated skill in the use of CAD software in CAD 2010 through 2013.
  • Must be able to interpret a hand sketch and verbal information into drawing.
  • Must be computer literate (complete MS office suite).
  • SalesForce project management software experience a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Must be able to work efficiently under minimal supervision once given direction.
  • Must work well in high stress environment with deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Must be able to set and achieve goals.
  • Must be able to prioritize work load depending on jobs deadlines.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Mentorship to junior members of the team a plus.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements based around work flow a plus.
  • Ability to develop technical improvements a plus.
  • Ability to develop training documents a plus.
  • Be able to communicate both in verbal and written form in a professional manner directly with clients

Our preference is for someone to be near our Los Angeles, CA office but since this can be fully remote, anywhere in the western region is acceptable. Join our Journey!</p><p>The Facilities Business Line provides building-focused engineering services to a variety of commercial, educational, medical, municipal, industrial, water/wastewater, and institutional clients. We provide analysis, evaluation, plans, and design for facility projects that involve remodel, expansion, new construction, and upgrades. In addition, our team provides design services in mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical/lighting, security, data and voice communications, energy management, audio visual, civil/utility, site development, and architectural disciplines.</p><p>Your day to day responsibilities will include leading the preparation of electrical design documents, system calculations, lighting and power design, coordination with other trades for electrical power distribution and related systems. You will work directly under the supervision of senior level staff or work independently. You will directly be generating drawings, design and calculations using industry accepted tools.</p><p>Our team works on small and large projects. The size of projects varies from providing a minor engineering for small tenant improvements to large size power and lighting design for large maintenance facilities, ground up buildings and office spaces. We work for clients in higher education field, utilities providers, hospitals, transportation field and public works field.</p><p>This position is partially work from home with travelling required based on the project requirements to do field assessments and attend meetings in person when requested. You may be required to be in the office on case by case basis which may include but not limited to orientation (option is available do to remote orientation), any required team meetings, any background checks, or any other cases that requires physical presence in the office including corporate meetings, meets and project meetings if applicable.</p><p>How we work on day-to-day basis from home? - Each team member is provided with a laptop workstation, two (2) screens, a docking station, a headphone, and a keyboard/mouse combo. All engineering documents are worked and saved on cloud (SharePoint) and BIM 360 under Gannett Fleming's approved and controlled environment. Printers are located at the Los Angeles office with IT support available online. We use REVIT, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and other Microsoft applications for our day-today work.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Generate electrical plans including power and lighting.</p></li><li><p>Generate photometrics analysis.</p></li><li><p>Capable of performing site surveys for collecting information needed to develop electrical design.</p></li><li><p>Perform electrical load calculations, select, and size equipment.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate power requirements with mechanical, architectural, plumbing, and other trades.</p></li><li><p>Work on multiple projects independently as well as under supervision.</p></li><li><p>Check quality of work and maintain good quality of drawings in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements of the company (training will be provided).</p></li><li><p>Communicate with clients on regular basis for day today coordination and design progress.</p></li></ul><p>Minimum Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>3-5 years of electrical design experience for building electrical systems.</p></li><li><p>At least 3 years of REVIT experience in generating electrical drawings from inception to completion.</p></li><li><p>At least 1 year of experience with EnergyPro's latest version.</p></li><li><p>Experienced in generating single line diagrams, panel schedules, power distribution and lighting distribution.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of working electrical code.</p></li><li><p>Work in a team environment as well as independently.</p></li><li><p>Technology savvy to be able to use Microsoft Team, SharePoint, Excel, Word and Outlook on regular basis.</p></li><li><p>Strong efficiency with REVIT. Able to generate, draft, print and quality check electrical drawings.
