Description

Electrical Designer duties include design and preparation of construction documents, utility coordination, and client meetings. Must be a self-starter capable of managing their time and working with the project manager to meet client schedules, and company project budget and assist the team as a whole. Minimum experience in the following areas is desired: Commercial building power and lighting; Site lighting; and Lighting control design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Personable & able to be client-facing; looking for someone to be a culture fit, not just do the work. Communication must be clear and effective. Self-sufficient/able to work with basic direction. Experience in Data centers; hospitals, high technology industries; industrial facilities that include medium to high voltage systems; generator systems, paralleled or transferred with utility; UPS systems; arc flash analysis; breaker coordination & protective relay studies; AutoCAD & REVIT.

Smaller firm allows individuals the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and learn a variety of skills, not a lot of red tape or corporate pressure. Everyone is self-sufficient and they give you autonomy to make decisions; not micro-managed at all. Raises are done based on progression, not on a strict annual timeline; raises are very attainable. Work Environment

Nice office off of Howe Avenue near Sac State. Pit-style office and desks in a collaborative environment. 11 people in the office, as well as 2 on the HR side that work off-site. Laid-back dress code, not business casual. Hours can be flexible, but everyone stays until 4 pm.
