This Electrical Design Engineer position is fit for a machine tool design engineer that can engage in machine & related equipment development.
Under direct supervision, incumbent will assist in the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of electrical and electro-mechanical devices and systems.
Incumbent may design support for existing product lines and/or modification of hardware in production.
This design engineer will perform product development activities including interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.

Design electrical system to enable CNC machine tool operation/function Design, model, and draft parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software (preferred) Specify bill of materials for machines, communicate with suppliers, and order parts as necessary Design the interface to enable the various kinds of production automation Attend and participate in regular design reviews with team members and management staff to ensure a high-quality design Design and conduct tests along with analyzing and interpreting test data Troubleshoot the systems/products in prototype and production environment PLC programming (ladder programming) & CNC programming (G code) of CNC machine tools is a plus Travel when required to check customer machines, to support overseas machine assembly, and to attend design reviews/conferences, while representing our company in a professional manner Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree & one (1) year experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering Basic experience of 3D CAD software (PTC Creo preferred) or electrical design CAD (EPLAN, SchemELECT preferred) Knowledge of fundamental manufacturing and Machine design Work Environment: General office environment experienced.
Occasionally will spend time in various manufacturing environments.
Exposure to possible hazards including noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
