Responsible for managing plant floor programming group throughout the facility. Work closely with all departments to ensure electrical and control equipment system reliability. Lead capital projects and maintenance activities for plant electrical infrastructure and control systems.
Supervise a team of unionized hourly electrical, electronic and controls maintenance employees
Work with operations, maintenance and engineering to establish priorities for electrical system preventative maintenance, repair and replacement.
Work with predetermined budgets and meet performance goals set by the Maintenance Manager.
Conduct root cause failure analysis for all significant downtime occurrences.
Report on electrical maintenance activities to Maintenance Manager and other plant management team members.
Responsible for plant electrical infrastructure and control system capital projects for the plant.
Work closely with Purchasing Department on vendor selection, equipment selection, and developing an approved contractor list.
Plan future process improvements and capital projects.
Provide training for employees on electrical and control systems.
Develop equipment downtime/reliability solutions. Support, develop, and train employees on troubleshooting procedures.
Capital Management of projects above $50,000.
Understanding of manufacturing control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, Communication, PC Hardware, Database Management and instrumentation. Maintain facility electrical infrastructure and annual testing process.
Minimum education required: High School Diploma
Education Desired: Bachelor of Science of Electrical Engineering preferred
Years of relevant experience: Minimum of five years' experience as an Engineer or related position in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Supervisory experience required.
Knowledge of manufacturing control systems.
Knowledge of power distribution systems.
Experience in the development of functional specifications.
Experience with bid specification.
Experience with Capital Management Process to include scope development, estimating, development of timelines, cost tracking, startup and production turnover.
Familiar with OSHA regulations.
Understanding of the National Electric Code.
