Koozie Group is looking for an Electrical Controls Engineering Manager with experience designing, installing and integrating PLC Control systems with interactive operator interface for automated production equipment. The PLC Control systems will utilize the latest technologies to provide flexibility, reliability, and throughput. The candidate will be responsible for all phases of the control system development from concept and design, through fabrication, installation and training. Job duties will be performed within the Koozie Group engineering group; however, some travel could be required to other Koozie Group domestic manufacturing facilities.


  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts with AutoCad - Create Bill of Materials (BOM) with Excel

  • Create, Install, and Integrate PLC / Kinetix programming in Rockwell's ControlLogix Environment

  • Create, Install and Integrate HMI programming in Rockwell's Factory Talk Environment

  • Create, Install and Integrate Ethernet I/P configuration to support Control System Communications

  • Use test equipment such multimeters and oscilloscopes to support Control System start-up and debug

  • Flexibility to work weekends if required

  • Travel up to 15% may be required for special projects


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related 4-year degree

  • Five years of work experience in industrial control system design, PLC/HMI programming and integration

  • Must have PLC, operator interface, motion control, and industrial networking programming training or skills

  • AutoCad training or skills required

  • Functional Safety, OSHA, or NFPA training is not required but are desirable qualifications

  • Prior experience with robotics, machine vision, and advanced PLC/PC communication is a plus

  • Preferred skills include Rockwell's Studio 5000 Logix Designer, with emphasis on motion programming, cam profile integration and servo motor sizing

  • Knowledge of NEC, UL- Codes, and NFPA-79

  • Literate and competent in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) or equivalent required

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, within tight deadlines and to organize workload to meet the department's needs

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Strong planning, organizational, decision-making and analytical skills

Consideration may be given for a highly competitive remote candidate who can commute onsite 60% or more. * This Executive will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Control Management and Third-party Risk Management functions for the Enterprise Risk & Compliance (ERC) organization. The position drives the strategic planning process and budgeting for Risk and Compliance and provides leadership, operational direction and oversight for various programs and projects. Communicates with key stakeholders across the enterprise to plan, execute and ensure effective delivery strategic initiatives. Utilizes executive-level business acumen and decision-making abilities and provides effective hands-on management and leadership. Job Requirements * Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role. * Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. * Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities. * Provides strategic leadership and management of direct and matrixed leaders responsible for the integrated work effort plans created to deliver the strategic vision. * Leads a widespread, complex team of Program and Project Managers focusing on key initiatives in a functional area and serves as an integration point to support complex area-specific or Enterprise-wide initiatives. * Ensures proper change management is in place along with measures for success, leveraging existing change management routines as needed. * Develops and maintains relationships with cross-functional key stakeholders to ensure project/program management processes are integrated; lead program steering committees with top management stakeholders, program sponsors and manage or attend other governance meetings; act as a consultant for business requests and project/program structuring activities. * Participates and leads components of on-going operational planning and may collaborate with other senior leadership or line of business stakeholders across business units. * Provides consultation and/or maintains current awareness of developments, trends, risk, and legal and regulatory changes in the Financial Services industry and technical fields: risk management, modeling, data infrastructure, data management, systems architecture, batch and real-time processing. * Sponsors technical and business initiatives. * Ensures the business is prepared to support and participate in the execution methodology for technical and business work efforts. * Provides thought leadership to develop and enhance enterprise project management methods, tools and templates to deliver better client and employee experience. * Makes strategic decisions that influence the operational and financial performance, ensuring outcomes effectively manage risk and compliance. * Responsible for developing, tracking and reporting on key metrics (i.e. deliverables, financials, duration, benefits) and communicating findings to influence internal project/program methodologies and approaches. * Identifies trends and develops action plans to resolve abstract problems outside of set guidelines that impact the process execution. * Ensures proper management routines are applied to work effort. * Adheres to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools and templates (as required). * Drives the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA's Change Management framework. Required: * Bachelor's Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. * 10 years of progressive experience in program/project management leadership, process improvement and/or consulting for large strategic efforts. * 6 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams. * Experience in successfully managing complex strategic program/project through the project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and on-going support in a large or medium size organization, preferably a financial institution. * Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals required. * Executive-level understanding and experience with strategic-level change management. * Executive level experience delivering member or customer facing capabilities in a complex multi-channel, multi-product, integrated system environment. * Executive level experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management. * Experience on project and program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. * Comprehensive understanding of risk management policies and procedures with experience identifying risks and key risk indicators and building processes and controls to solve for those risks. Preferred: * 15+ years experience in Financial Planning and Control at a $100Bn+ Financial Services (banking or insurance) firm, preferably in a 2nd line risk or a CFO function. * Prior experience in Management/Strategy Consulting at a top-tier Consulting firm, working with Financial Services clients. * Experience running the financial planning and forecasting function for a business or business unit. * Subject matter expertise in design, planning, and implementation of business controls to reduce business and operational risk . * Experience in third-party risk management and governance; strong understanding of contract terms and contract negotiation. * Demonstrated track record of leveraging technology and automation to improve business processes and the controls environment.
