The Electrical Engineering Professional is responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
General Responsibilities:
Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch
Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures
Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget
Experience / Qualifications:
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Leads control system design and support for precision manufacturing systems comprised of PC-based and PLC-based controllers, graphical user interfaces, robotics, and vision systems.

This role will be comprised of approximately 50% electrical design and 50% control system programming
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 1-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) - preferred
Proficient in all IEC 61131-3 programming languages
Proficient in design and programming of Beckhoff industrial control systems
Proficient in electrical schematic design using SolidWorks Electrical
Experience with automated optical inspection systems preferred
Experience with robots in a manufacturing environment preferred
Proficient in PC-based control system design using C++ or C# programming languages and Microsoft Visual Studio programming environment a plus
Experience with Git version control platforms a plus
