Electrical Control Panel Builder
Pay Rate: $18.00-$25.00/hr. depending on experience.
Job Summary: As a Control Panel Technician, you will assemble and wire medium voltage control panels used in industrial automation systems. Must be mechanically inclined, be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly of control panels. You will install and connect electrical components, such as relays, switches, and circuit breakers, according to the specifications. Must know how to fabricate and modify control panel enclosures using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Shop, manufacturing, wiring, and assembly would be a good fit. Any HAVC background would be a BIG plus. On-the-job training will be provided.
Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with ½ lunch Monday
Swing Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm ½ lunch Monday
Responsibilities:
Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of material, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams
Physically assemble and wiring of system control panels
Cut, strip, crimp, and wire 26 AWG - 12 AWG
Lay out physical mounting devises to back panels
Apply hand and power tools to ensure correct torque
Perform re-work of wiring and assembly at the request and guidance of the QC technician
QC testing the panel to ensure that its built according to plan
Qualifications:
Strong electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical components
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings. (Bonus)
Mechanical knowledge to assemble components accurately
Experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly and modification tasks
