Your Impact

The Electrical Contributor is vital to the success of Thriven Design. At present, we are seeking to add electrical engineers with relevant experience who are interested in working with our senior engineers to find practical solutions when designing building systems from concept through construction completion for commercial, multi-family, educational, healthcare; new and retrofit projects. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of lighting, power systems, and fire alarm systems for various building types.

• Electrical single line diagram layouts.

• Basic knowledge of building codes, and National Electrical Code.

• Design layout utilizing ArchiCAD.

• Site visits for electrical survey information and punch listing.

• Coordination with other disciplines.

Education And Experience

• Electrical Engineering recent graduate seeking hands on design experience with various types of electrical systems

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• EIT Certificate OR PE license a definite plus, but not a requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on design experience with various types of electrical systems

• Proficiency in either an ArchiCAD or AutoCAD environment.

• Strong communication and writing skills.

• Strong relational and communication skills with client, business, and coworkers.

• Proven track record of success managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Professional technical writing skills

• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, short circuit programs and lighting programs.
