Summary of Position:

Non-Exempt, 40 hours per work with occasional overtime.

Outside Sales is primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, negotiating and procuring orders, receiving inbound phone calls, providing customer service over the phone and in person. Outside sales person will work closely with purchasing to expedite orders and may be called on to work with accounts receivable to keep accounts current.

The successful candidate must be professional in appearance and manner, able to successfully work with a wide array of persons both in person and over the phone.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers.
  • Maintain our high standards of quality and customer service at all times.
  • Continually develop product knowledge and share that knowledge with customers.
  • Working schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overnight travel, both in and out of state. May be required to travel out of state for product training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Intern will evaluate and test basic electrical processes in accordance with international Product Compliance Standards. This position will provide proactive assistance to identify and resolve product environmental and safety compliance issues along with providing timely and accurate test reports and information. The Electrical Engineering/Product Compliance Intern will have a background in electrical/electronic engineering to support compliance engineering and testing of Server Technology's products. * Research new and alternate electrical components with regard to function, availability, and safety certification * Assist Engineering Services in generation of new component Specification and Source Control documentation * Assist engineers as they create, modify and test electrical circuits, and power distribution products. * Maintain Approved Vendors List in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system * Perform audits of the Enterprise Resource Planning system to ensure Approved Vendor List is accurate * Maintain Company's environmental compliance database * Perform X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis of components to ensure compliance with RoHS – (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) * Create reports for European WEEE (e-waste) program Qualifications Required Skills * Education: Current junior status working toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering * Experience:Prior work experiences in CRM, PLM, ERP or SCM desired. Engineering Technician experience in a large volume production environment preferred * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: * <li>Ability to use electronic test equipment, such as, Oscilloscopes, Electronic Loads, Meters, Function Generators, etc. * Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook) * Ability to work on live high voltage circuits Ideal Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: * Effective oral and written communication skills. * Strong organizational and planning skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to multi-task.
