Support civil construction crew by reviewing Southern California Edison's FIM and circuitry. Evaluate/assess electrical structures and components any potential hazards within the system.

Attend Pre-construction meeting to demine if NTO's are necessary. Calling in and hold No Test Orders. Tailboard with civil crews and communicate all potential electrical hazards with in the work zone.

Minimum Qualifications:


Educational and experience requirements include: Five years of experience working on Southern California Edison's exposed high voltage circuits and equipment, and has demonstrated performance familiarity with the civil work to be performed and hazards involved. Two years of experience evaluating energized structures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Evaluate energized structures and identify any potential hazards.
2.Review SCE FIM maps, circuit maps and verify circuitry at the job site.
3.Tailboard with civil construction crew and fill out all SCE required documentation.
4.Educate the civil crew on cable/equipment is energized and what is not energized.
5.Educate civil crew on any hazards within the scope of work.
6.Document the time NTO's are being set and released.
7.Familiar with heat scanning live electrical cable and equipment.
8.Has a clear understanding of SCE's NTO's policy.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thoroughly review SCE field inventory circuit maps. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Background, credit and MVR check required. Drug test also required.

margin: 0;">Activities may involve but are not limited to electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, power-using machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, machine tools, and material handling systems</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears; run/test computer programs, connect computer jacks and plugs, and test for adequate operations</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications; perform initial and ongoing design reviews</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Collaborate with Project Managers to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects</li> <li style="padding: 0; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Develop alternative designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD)</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Research and analyze data determining feasibility of design application for customer proposal</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Design products or systems, such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems, applying knowledge of engineering principles</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Plan and oversee engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems</li> <li style="padding: 0;
