DEPARTMENT: Electrical Assembly

Reports to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor, in our Electrical Assembly Department in Davis, CA.


Electrical/Electro-Mechanical assembly candidates should have the ability to work accurately and be able to follow schematics and instructions precisely. This position requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and hand tools. Assembly Technicians will need a keen eye for detail and quality while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Follow Standardized Work practices.

  • Performs highly complex electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.

  • Performs troubleshooting activities on a variety of highly complex electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Tether Management Systems (TMS).

  • Performs inspections of electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure it matches assembly prints and work instructions.

  • Periodically performs engineering electrical and electro-mechanical prototype builds.

  • Perform a variety of warehouse functions.

  • Incorporates problem solving and process improvements into work flow.


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.

  • Must be able to work with 28-32 AWG.

  • Knowledge of strain gauge assembly preferable.

  • Ability to read and understand basic process assembly drawings, bill of materials and electrical schematics.

  • Proficient in the use of small hand tools (soldering iron, wire strippers, hand cutters, tweezers and crimpers).

  • Familiar with soldering and de-soldering techniques.

  • Training in IPC A-610 standard or similar standard.

  • Ability to work overtime.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, for long periods of time.

  • Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, and lift.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Frequent use of computer and close viewing of monitor

  • Regular, repetitive arm/hand motion (crimping, soldering, wire stripping, etc.)

  • Work on concrete floors, wearing steel toes boots up to 8-12 hours a day.

Whether you’re looking for seasonal work or the career of a lifetime, join us today to reach your peak.    This position is responsible for team and all Engineering Department issues or tasks that occur during the shift.  Communicate clearly any pending issues to Manager at shift end.  Perform various repairs to hotel and resort equipment and install new equipment as required.    Duties/Responsibilities: * Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times.   * Have a working knowledge of electrical systems and electrical equipment used in hotels, restaurants, and resorts, including but not limited to all commercial kitchen equipment. * Will be required to make repairs to existing equipment and systems in the hotel and resort. * Will be required to trouble-shoot equipment problems and posses parts knowledge of various restaurant equipment. * Prepare estimates for cost of parts or repairs. * Take responsibility for completion of tasks, projects, and to-do lists on that shift. * Report all emergencies, equipment down, and other issues to immediate supervisor. * Inspect facilities on a regular basis, using a standard checklist.  Maintain files of inspection, checklists, and reports. * Deal with a variety of emergency or unusual problems that may arise. * Maintain tools and equipment. * Follow appropriate safety and security procedures. * Communicate effectively with immediate supervisor, company personnel, and co-workers to plan and coordinate activities, exchange information, resolve problems, etc.   Qualifications: * At least one year of experience working with commercial Heating, Venting and Air Conditioning systems, with specific experience in boiler/chiller repair - required. * High school diploma - preferred. * HVAC certification and EPA Refrigeration license - required.  * Ability to deal with guests in courteous and efficient manner - required. * Must be 21 years or older and provide a current driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Report - required.  * Ability to perform all job duties and other tasks as assigned.    With diverse tree-lined mountain trails, a world-class terrain park and a vibrant village, Northstar is the perfect setting for families and snow sports enthusiasts alike.
