The Electrical Assembler plays a crucial role in the production of electrical wire harnesses and their installation, handling tasks of varying complexity. This position requires a blend of semi-skilled labor and technical knowledge to ensure the proper assembly and functionality of units.

What you will do:

  • Assembly Operations: Determine methods and sequence of assembly operations based on electrical drawings, shop orders, or process specifications to meet production requirements.

  • Electrical Components and Wiring: Work with various electrical components and wiring to build wiring harnesses and perform Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).

  • Tool Utilization: Utilize aviation electrical tools, such as crimp tools, Digital Multimeters (DMM), and wire strippers. Use small hand tools, including wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers, for some mechanical assembly tasks.

  • Precision Measurement: Use precision measurement tools, such as scales, digital and dial calipers, and micrometers, to ensure accuracy in assembly.

  • Unit Modification: Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as needed to meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Shop Orders: Read and comprehend shop orders to ensure correct assembly procedures and adherence to project specifications.

  • Mandatory working hours: Monday-Friday, 1st shift - 5:00am-1:30pm

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 2 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs periodically

  • Good fine motor skills and ability to manipulate small components

  • Aerospace experience preferred

  • Experience with BAC process specs for electrical assemblies and installation

  • Experience with the D6-54446 SWPM (standard wire practices manual)

  • Experience with or certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Wire harness and assembly

The salary range for this role is $22.48 to $30.41; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
